A NOTE FROM PASTOR MARRON

March 20, 2020

Dear Innovation Family,

As the effects of COVID-19 continue to interrupt our world, our nation, and even our community, let us be reminded that we can stand fearless on the hope of Christ and the promises of His Word during this season.

As a church, we understand the unique responsibility we have to both serve and protect the well-being of our community. With that said, ALL WORSHIP EXPERIENCES AND IN-PERSON GATHERINGS are moved online until further notice.  Nothing about our experience will change, except you’ll be joining us from the comfort of your home on your computer or phone.

Also, be on the lookout for more information regarding “INN THE HOUSE”, an online experience that brings Innovation Church to your house.

During the upcoming days, we commit to monitor the COVID-19 situation very closely and maintain close communication with local health and government authorities.

Innovation Church - let’s stay connected, support one another and consider ways we can care for those in need.

Let’s continue to pray for comfort, healing and protection during this season.

Psalms 125:1-2 (TPT) “Those who trust in the Lord are as unshakable, as unmovable as mighty Mount Zion!

I love you all and look forward to worshipping with you online!

Dear Innovation Church Family,

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently declared the Coronavirus (COVID-19) a global pandemic.  Like many of you, I too have seen the numerous reports and felt the effects of information overload.  For many, the spread of this virus has caused a lot of fear and anxiety.  Yet, I am grateful that the Bible tells us, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

As a church, we are taking very serious the science and facts of the situation and at the same time remaining proactive, gracious and wise.  We are praying for significant decrease in its spread and transmission, healing for those inflicted and trusting in our God’s sovereign hand of protection over us all.

It has always been a priority for us to offer our members and our guests a safe and healthy environment to worship and fellowship.  As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread around the world and here in the Mid-South,  I wanted to update you on the proactive measures we are taking as a church.

As of now, we WILL maintain our normal weekly worship experience schedule - Sunday morning 9:07am & 11:07am at our Main Campus.  Life Groups and other scheduled meetings will proceed as planned (unless otherwise noted).

Regrettably, ALL INNOVATION CHURCH 7 YEAR ANNIVERSARY ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN rescheduled UNTIL MAY 1-3, 2020!  This includes Stars Night In, SERVE Saturday and our Anniversary Worship Experience (being held at our Trezevant Campus).   Additional information will be available soon.

We have consulted our partnering medical professionals, and have identified the following internal steps to reduce the transmission of the Coronavirus and other  possible airborne illnesses:

Hand Sanitizing products will be available throughout the church.

Sanitizing public spaces.  In addition to our current cleaning schedules, extra efforts are being made to wipe down railings, door knobs, handles and entryways several times during our worship gatherings.

Sanitizing children’s ministry rooms.  All of our Children and Youth (C & Y) areas will double their sanitizing efforts prior to and after their designated service times.  Upon check-in children will be asked to wash / sanitize their hands before entering into the C&Y areas.  Additional cleanings throughout the week have also been scheduled to aid in eliminating germs.

Limit Hugs, handshakes and touching.  As a church - we love to give hugs and handshakes, however over these next few weeks - a smile and a wave will have to do.  Also, please respect your neighbors right to decline a hug or handshake.  I will also do my part from the pulpit and limit my requests to “turn to your neighbor” and “touch 3 people”.  Don’t get used to it, it’s only for a little while.

  • No self-served coffee and water or use of drinking fountains.  Alternative options for beverages will be provided.

Additionally, we’re asking that you consider your personal and family health a priority.  As the scope and course of this virus continues to unfold, we request that, if you are experiencing an uncontrollable cough, fever or fatigue, you seek medical attention.  If your children are exhibiting flu or virus-like symptoms, we will ask that you keep them home instead of bringing them to church and/or checking them into the Children & Youth area.

Thank you for your patience. We will do our best to keep you informed and connected.

In His Service,

Pastor Marron Thomas
